DWA have submitted a planning application at Button Mews, Croydon, for two new houses on the site of a former button factory.
Taking inspiration from the faceted roofs of dutch oast houses, the two new mews houses have been designed to fit sympathetically within the landscape and have a minimal impact on neighbours.
Their placement frames a communal courtyard planted with trees and provides a new amenity space for residents to enjoy. At the heart of the house is the kitchen and living space, where large folding patio doors also open onto private gardens.
